The Wonderful World of Trains
Welcome
 |
The Wonderful World of Trains. Their history, their present, their future. From the earliest trains, through the great era of steam to the early diesel and electric locos and units; then onto the first high speed trains with the Shinkansen in Japan, opening in time for the Tokyo Olympics. The fabulously successful TGV system in France and elsewhere in Europe, including Germany's impressive fleet of ICE trains. And Eurostar, constantly running through the Channel Tunnel to link London with Paris and Brussels. Freight trains, royal trains, famous trains including the Orient Express, the Blue Train in South Africa and many more. And a look ahead at maglev and other developments. You'll love the website of the Wonderful World of Trains. To find out everything we have (and we plan to add more, so let us know what you'd like to see) go to our Site Map page, or click on the buttons to the left or at the base of the page. You'll definitely have fun. And you'll love our major celebration of trains, coming to an exhibition space near you in late 2010. Stay in touch, or join our on-line community. You're very welcome.
